Animo Desktop Is Here
Table of Contents
Today we’re releasing Animo Desktop.
Animo is a desktop program that lets you create professional mathematical and educational animations using natural language. Describe what you want, and AI turns it into a real animation powered by Manim, the same engine behind 3Blue1Brown’s videos.
No coding required. No browser tab. Just a small app on your computer that does one thing really well.
What Is Animo Desktop
Animo Desktop is a lightweight application (less than 7MB) that runs on Mac and Windows. It works alongside AI coding tools like Claude Code and Codex to turn your plain-English descriptions into polished animations.
You say what you want. The AI writes the code. Animo renders it. That’s it.
Teachers use it to make classes. Students use it to understand concepts visually. Content creators use it to produce educational videos for YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.
What You Can Create
Animo handles anything Manim can render:
- Mathematical visualizations and proofs
- Physics simulations
- Algorithm explanations
- Data visualizations
- Chemistry and astronomy diagrams
- Educational content of any kind
Export in MP4, GIF, or PNG sequences. Choose between 16:9 for YouTube, 9:16 for TikTok and Reels, or 1:1 for square formats.
Built for Teachers
We built Animo with teachers in mind. If you teach math, physics, or any subject that benefits from visual explanations, this is for you.
You don’t need to know Python. You don’t need to learn Manim. You describe the animation in plain English, and Animo does the rest.
If you’re new to AI coding tools, we offer a free onboarding call where we help you install everything and create your first animation together.
How Much Does It Cost
Animo is a one-time purchase of $49. No subscriptions. No recurring fees. You get the full application, unlimited animations, all future updates, and priority support.
It comes with templates for physics, algebra, astronomy, and chemistry to help you get started right away.
