## About

Animo is an AI-powered animation tool built by a YouTube creator who needed a faster way to make animated explanations, math visualizations, and algorithm breakdowns. It started as a personal tool to generate Manim code from plain English descriptions and grew into a product used by developers, teachers, and creators worldwide. The open-source project (Generative Manim) has 800+ GitHub stars.

Animo is a native desktop app (~6 MB) for macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel), Windows, and Linux (Debian/Ubuntu .deb package). It renders animations locally on your machine. No cloud uploads. No context switching.

## How It Works

2. AI generates clean Manim code (the library 3Blue1Brown uses)
3. Render locally on your machine
4. Export MP4 videos ready for YouTube, presentations, or any platform

## AI Integration

Animo works on top of Claude Code and OpenAI Codex. If you already pay for ChatGPT or Claude ($20/mo), there is no extra AI cost. If you don't have a subscription, you can pay through Animo.
